Volunteers are unpaid. The ideal volunteer is someone who is excited about the festival concept and truly believes in diversity, inclusion, and ending mental health stigma.
This is a great opportunity for psychology, social work, and counseling students to utilize their knowledge and skills and engage directly with the community they aim to serve. Volunteers will have the opportuniy to make connections with local providers and resources.
If you are currently completing a practicum or internship, ask your supervisor about counting this volunteer opportunity towards your hours! I am happy to sign off on any hours you want to volunteer to support your educational pursuits.
Volunteers may
• setup and breakdown tables & chairs
• lead games and activities
• welcome and survey attendees
• assist with vendor check-in
• watch booth if/when vendors are presenting
• run raffles and announce speakers
• distribute narcan and fentanyl test strips
• and more
